Scarecrow People, ZBT, Katastro, Zombie Prom, At All Cost

Scarecrow People‘s acoustic duo continues its early Wednesday shows, playing 7-9 p.m. at House of RoKATASTROck. The duo features a blend of “B” sides, soundtracks 1980s and retro rock … just like the full band but acoustic. Zebras Biting Tigers takes over at 9 p.m. The three-piece covers a lot of ground — rock, funk, jazz and reggae. Beers are $2.50 and appetizers are half price all night.

106.5 The Shark presents Katastro, who stops by House of Rock on Thursday during their Strange Nights Tour. They’ll be joined by Mouse Powell and Flatbroke. Doors are at 7 p.m. Hailing from the desert of Tempe, Arizona, the members of Katastro gather to create a sound that blends elements of rock, funk, blues and hip hop. Formed in 2007 by vocalist Andy Chaves, drummer Andrew Stravers and guitarist Tanner Riccio, later joined by bassist Ryan Weddle, Katastro has been gaining a lot of exposure while putting on an engaging live show.

Austin groove metal/metalcore band At All Cost is on tap for Sunday at House of Rock. They’ll be joined by Switchblade Jesus, a Corpus Christi metal band that has a sound is as dirty and dusty as a weathered Harley bar. Their rock is as vicious as a pissed-off rattler. Doors are at 7:30 p.m.
