The Corpus Christi Songwriters Series invites all songwriters to showcase their original songs on stage once a month at House of Rock. Sunday’s featured host is Nathan Vanderford of Austin rock band Talk Radio. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., music starts at 8. Corpus Christi Songwriters has been on a mission to spread the interest in original music around Corpus Christi and its surrounding areas. Corpus Christi Songwriters is held on the second Sunday of every month on the small stage, creating an intimate environment welcoming new and seasoned songwriters to share their songs with an attentive and engaged audience. Jimmy Willden hosts the series. The format is simple: each songwriter is allowed to perform two songs (they can be new songs, or old songs, but they must be original songs). Once everyone has shared their songs, stories and inspirations behind them, the cycle will begin again.
