Deathfest on tap for Thursday, Audic Empire to Rock Friday

Nashville’s Enfold Darkness headlines Deathfest on Thursday at House of Rock. They’ll be joined by UrDEATHFESTth Realm, Bow Before Horus, An Eaters Curse, Desecrated Remains and several other bands. Doors are at 4 p.m. Enfold Darkness unleashes an ungodly European sound, combining the melodic riffs and technical precision of Gothenburg death metal with the ferocity and morose darkness of Norwegian black metal.

Audic Empire returns Friday at House of Rock with its feel good rock/reggae tunes. They’ll be joined by Bumpin’ Uglies and Flatbroke. Doors are at 9 p.m. Audic Empire, formed in 2010, has been turning heads in the Austin music scene with its psychedelic, high-intensity performances. The group released “Sativa Sunrise” in 2015. Ska/punk/reggae band Bumpin’ Uglies from Annapolis, Maryland, was formed by lead singer/guitarist/song-writer Brandon Hardesty in 2008, when he set out to create a sound and an approach that was unique and immediately identifiable. The group incorporate many styles into its music, with a major emphasis on ska, reggae and punk. The group released “Better. Stronger. Faster” earlier in 2016.
