Born of Osiris, Alyson Chains, El Dusty

Born Of Osiris is kicking off the second leg of its Sumerian 10-Year Tour with a stop Thursday at House of Rock. They’ll be joined by Upon a Burning Body, After The Burial, Erra and Bad Omens. Doors are at 6 p.m. The Chicago-area deathcobornofosirisre group released “Soul Sphere” in 2015. “Soul Sphere” could only by conjured by a group of musicians so personally distinct, the group says. Beyond Born Of Osiris, each member continues to enrich his own sphere and that’s what makes the album special.

Longing for Layne? Still missing Scott? Check out tribute bands Alyson Chains, Clone Temple Pilots and Rated R on Friday at House of Rock. Doors are at 8 p.m. They’re not the originals but recreate the classic sounds of your favorite ’90s groups fronted by Layne Staley and Scott Weiland. Local Queens of the Stone Age tribute band Rated R also joins in the fun.

El DustyEl Dusty presents El Tropicoso, a tropical vibes cumbia dance party Saturday at House of Rock. Doors are at 8 p.m. El Dusty is the latest project from Corpus Christi based producer, Dusty Oliveira. Operating behind the mixer and console, Dusty is considered by some to be the inventor of Cumbia Electronica. Composer, arranger and ringmaster, Oliveira reinterprets the principals of the Jamaican sound systems of the 1970s, mashing the grimey, electro bass sounds and always brings together a panoply of MCs, singers, as well as musicians and other DJs.
