Reggae and Good Vibes This Weekend

Ballyhoo! returns Friday to House of Rock with its potent mix of pop, reggae, ska and a little punk. They’ll be joined by Resinated and Heritage. Doors are at 7 p.m.
The Aberdeen, Maryland rockers celebrate music that can be found on both Jimmy Buffett’s Radio Margaritaville and underground skateboarding videos. Formed in 1995, the group’s most recent releases have been an EP, “The Cool Down Vol. 1,” in 2014 and a full-length album, “Pineapple Grenade” in 2013.

Spoonfed Tribe has been pushing the boundaries of jam rock since 1999. The Texas experimental rock band drops by House of Rock Saturday and will be joined by Arcade Hustlers. Doors are at 8 p.m. Spoonfed Tribe creates a percussion-heavy, sonically psychedelic sound that seems most at home in a live setting where the band really stretches out with a striking multidimensional audiovisual and musical performance that usually evolves into a mesmerizing, hypnotic, tranced-out dance party. The band released “Enjoy the Ride” and “Weapons of Mass Percussion” in 2013.
