Michael Angelo Batio brings his famous guitar pyrotechnics Sunday to House of Rock. Doors are at 8 p.m. Batio is one of the originators and pioneers of the “shred” guitar genre, becoming one of the fastest and definitely one of the most emulated. He invented a double guitar — conjoining a left-handed and right-handed guitar in a V-formation — so he could play both simultaneously. One of his models resides in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His guitar techniques and innovations are now considered standard techniques for guitarists around the world as many have learned from his instructional videos.
